I acquired this bike as a rolling basket and have been trying to get a little information about this series:
It's a 1980 (ironhead) ,titled as an XLH
Sportster Limited Edition Series One. Decal says 342 of 1000. Lots and lots of fairly detailed engraving on nearly all exposed aluminum.
Anyone care to share a little knowledge??????????

 

The paint was a set that was offered as an accessory. They were not installed by the MOCO. The detail of the paint and decals were awesome. They had kits for the XL, peanut tank for the FX's and a FL set. The Fl had a big eagle on the fairing. The engraving and stuff was added. Alot of the dealers installed on floor bikes.
