Favourite Jacket for riding
Some bright spark suggested this thread, so here goes me:
This is my FAV jacket for cruising
Well, its my ONLY jacket actually, but in order to qualify it had to be hand selected from a big list, so in effect it is my fav
I have attached my lady's favourite jacket too...awww schucks
You can hopefully guess which is which

RE: Favourite Jacket for riding
I'm happy with these 2 jackets that I've had for many, many, many years...
I treat the leather about once a year, and they look and work as well today as they did back in the 1970's.
The one with the adjustable lace on the sides has a permanent Thinsulate lining and I wear it the most during colder winter months. The other has a zip out lighter weight Thinsulate lining. I usually just remove the Thinsulate lining and wear it when the temperatures aren't as cold...
I've owned a lot of 'high end' leather jackets over the years, and believe me, not all jackets are created the same. Some of the newer stuff I see out there probably wouldn't stand up to 5 years of hard use..

I dig both of those jackets, lads.
I am a big fan of the bar and Shield in the grey tones ala HDH's jacket (love the sticker too mate- although I might not have liked it 24 years ago when I was doing donuts on my QR50), and OFG's jackets are straight up bad-***. I believe we refer to those, down here in Oztralia as "Brando's".

I have the HD Heritage nylon jacket.
All the other jackets I have owned have been leather. This time I went a little outside of the lines and got nylon, and hokey-wow do I like it. No wind permiates thru the shell, thus not needing the liner till 40deg. or below. Light and comfy.
Miss the old school leather deal, but a heck of alot warmer, dry, and comfortable with this item.
ps- cannot wait for the season of "jacket not required!"

HD does not make a "heavy-weight" leather jacket anymore.
I went with a local company. US Made Leathers out of MA.
