Memphis Shade on Nightster ?
I know there have been lots of posts on windshields .. YES, I did a search. But still need to post to ask if anyone has put a Memphis Shade on their Nighster, and do you have pics? And have you done the lowers as well? I know I could go with HD but really am leaning more toward the Memphis Shades.
I've ridden with and without a windshield on previous bikes and have decided I am going to buy a detachable this time around to have to option of riding with or without. (I like the looks without, but on long highway trips have decided I need one.) I am a bit under 5' 4", and ride a 2008 Nightster. I have done measurements, and it would seem like the 17" is the right one for me .. I'm concerned the 15" would be too short?
Any input and pPICS greatly appreciated.

Here's some of a Memphis Shades Del Rio (in the sport windshield family). My girl friend rides with this 99% of the time and it fits her very well. She's about 5'4" and has the Harley solo seat. It doesn't offer as much coverage as the full-size shields, but it keeps the wind off her body and isn't too hateful in the looks department (I hate windshields). The gradient black at the bottom might be nice on a Nightster.

I agree...While it certainly might look wrong, they do serve their purpose when on the interstate at 70MPH for long periods of time.
I guess that's the nice thing about the detachable models.

Windsheilds don't belong on any Sporties,it just looks wrong.

Well, I just saw that my post got "resurrected", and thought I'd post an update. Don't have a pic yet, but I did buy a Memphis Shades detachable windshield. I have only been able to ride my bike once since getting out of storage and putting the windshield on, and it wasn't on the highway. But I did get up to about 50+, and it felt great. It doesn't look bad either. I got one that is black on the bottom. I really prefer the look of most bikes WITHOUT a windshield, but I have found I simply need one on longer highway trips. With the detachable feature I can have the best of both worlds. I'll post a pic soon - looks like this weekend the weather isn't going to be too bad, so I'll have her out Sunday (have to work Saturday).

So which model did you go for? Is it doing whatyou intended?I am about to purchase the Memphis Del Rey Sportshield from Dennis Kirk. Not sure if I want the grandiant black or solar. Seems to be the solar would be less noticable....
