Default AME 18 deg. rake kit or longer fork tubes?

Hi All!
I have a 2003 100th anniversary Sportie and want to give it a chopper look without "chopping" it up. AMC ( www.chopper-kit-usa.com/hd-sporster.htm) has a nifty, but not cheep, bolt on front end that increases the rake without changing the trail geomerty. On the other hand I can get HD 10" over-length tubes and change the look without changing the rake. The longer tube route is a lot cheaper but I'm not sure it will acomplish what I want. Does any one have experience doing either change? I am really cusious about ridability and the way it looks.

Thank you all, ride safe and have fun!

Blue skies,
Michael

It is not safe to change the tube length to extend the front without changing the rake. It will cause the bike to be unstable because the trail will be out. Dangerous!

I have the AME 14* kit on my '02 & love it. Here's a pic & there are more in my gallery.
