It was a beautiful 85 degrees in Austin when we rolled out north headed for Dallas that Sunday afternoon. Not a thought in the world there could be a "Texas Blue Norther" coming the other way. Waco was where the bottom fell out. Temp went down maybe forty degrees in ten miles. And yes, I was dressed for summer. So was the blond riding bitch. Drafted up tight behind 18-wheelers to stay warm. Reach-out-and-touch-the-trailer close. Ridden in cooler weather but never been colder.

Pleasure riding: I like it above 60*. If it gets around 60*, I try to keep it under 45 mph. I like enjoying the ride, rather than enduring it.
Running a must-do errand (which is a minimum 40 minute round trip); I can take 50* in the bright sunshine with no ambient wind. Around that point, I start saying - should have used the cage.
