Not realy sure if this was calling me a liar... but if you have ever used this lift, and we have 4, (both the fancy red and yellow... kind of jelous of the black) you would know that they do not fit all bikes perfect... sportys like 01 and back need an adapter plate to be solid, dyna's need a block under theprimary due to the extra frame rail, VTX have an un even balance on the frame due to weld, Shadows havea low slung exhaust, Viragos have motor that is part of theframe making it hard to get solid... rockets man done even think of it... under frame exhaust for the most part, when we first started working on a good amount of bikes... we had 2 fall off the lift in 1 day... one got bumped by a guy backing out a bike... the other was blown off the lift (a sporty) bywhat seemed like got himself... granted these bikes all belonged to the people working on them (we would never put a bike on the lift unless strapped down if it is a customers... but still learned a lesson... they are expensive machines... why not toss a 5 dollar strap over it?... ok off my soap box not even sure if i was being called a liar... here is a pic of my bike on the lift with the block under the primary, as well as a sporty... these are great little lifts to have and pretty cheap!

Here is the sporty on the jack......fits perfect....no straps required.........no flexing, no rocking.

If I was pulling front or back whell, I'd strap it.

Got the same problem with my UPS delivery girl. Not black, but has the rear end that would qualify.

Sorry, but yesterday Ilearned to strap mine on the jack everytime......[:@][] Jacked it up to drop the rear tire to install some newtail lights, and the bike seemed very sturdy. Went upstairs to grab something, and heard a loud thud......Went racing back down stairs...Yeap, the bike was laying on it's side on the ground.[X(] Luckily, the only damage was a bent license plate frame and a bent clutch handle/bracket.

It will be strapped down everytime now....
