Default what 1200 conversion kit to use

I got a 04' 883 almost a year ago just to upgrade it to the 1200cc. Well now i finally have the money to do it. I need some ideas on what kit to use. I want to be able to use the ride as a daily rider but I also want to take it to the 1/4 mile and have it hold its own. If y'all have any ideas let me know. Thanks!!!

If you willing to go to 1200, why not consider 1400.

I'm tryin to keep at the 1200 so I can race it in the 1200 class at the 1/4 mile. The upgrade is just a start for now.

well, i sure came to the right post. i just finished up the conversion myself a week ago. i ordered the wiseco 9.5 to 1 pistons, about $215, james gaskets ( rubber coated metal ) and drag specialty jugs. the gaskets were $70 and the jugs i got at cost for $138 each. my bike is a 91 model and should have had jugs that can be bored to 1200 but someone else had changed them. i don't know if the 04 jugs can be bored but check on it .
if you can work on a chevy, you can do this yourself and save shotloads of money. if you dont have a book or torquewrench, beg buy or steal them and thats all you need.
i can't tell you the hp gain, but the power gain was Unreal, and my mileage shot up 25% ( you read it right )., just like you, i bought my 883 with the plan of converting it. my buddy has a stock 1200 and mine will leave him in the dust! good luck!
