Default 2-up seat/sissy/saddle bags/windshield - need advice

Ok, I just wrote a "hold it" check for an '04 standard 883 (pics to come). I want to add those items ASAP (105 mile round-trip daily commute carrying lunch and laptop, occasional weekend passenger), and do it without needlessly fattening a stealer. I don't know if I want throw-over or sub frame mounted saddle bags, QD (or not) windshield and what size, which seat, which sissy? What's everybody using, and please post pics if possible!

If you follow the link to my bike pics - the bags are throw overs from Jafrum.com.
The windscreen is Memphis Shades.
Sissy bar is HD's.
The pic's do not include the new seat which is a Mustang - muuuuchhh better than stock!

Don't know if this helps - but congrats & good luck!

If you want the most comfiest 2 up seat, its gonna be the HD sundowner. Its butt ugly but it makes long rides easy on your butt. The windshield, well HD QD hardware is the best as far as function and looks, but personally i hate the way the shields look. So your gonna fatten up the stealers wallet. You can definitely go aftermarket elsewhere, but unfortunately they arent as functional or styled as the HD stuff. Just my opinion, others will say this or that is just as good, but they do have their drawbacks.

If you want a comfy seat that doesn't look ugly, and you aren't shy about spending a dime on it, Corbin makes some nice gunfighter (and lady) seats. As for the bags, make sure you have the exhaust you want before you purchase the bags because it influences the placement of your bags (I'm going through this right now myself).

Awesome replies, as expected.

The seller put on SE pipes, I see no need to change them.

I have to agree about the Sundowner seat. I have one and love it. I also have a detachable windshield as I don't take it off so quick detachable is no big deal for me. I also have saddle bags that I got from HD when I got my bike, they called the Pony Bags. They are throw overs and need the saddle bag brackets to hold them in place. I also had a rigid sissy bar, med-low, installed by the dealer. I recently added a nice luggage rack on the back.

I'm very happy with everything on it.

I have the HD QD windshield (compact - 15") on my '05 1200C and the Sundowner seat. I don't know of another seat that is as comfortable as the Sundowner at a comparable price. I wish that I did because asSpursDarkrider said, it is about butt ulgy. I also have a set of reasonably priced (OK cheap) leather saddle bags that I mounted to a set of EasyBrackets quick disconnect mounts.

You couldcheck outMemphis Shades or National Cycle for a shield. Also my bags are 14½" X 10½" X 6" and they are to small to hold my laptop case. When I replace my bags I will go with synthetic bags with hat box lids.

Hope this helps.
