I live in the peoples republic of kalifornia as well. I have removed my smog garbage and the bike actually runs better less restrictions. As far as this stupid state is concerned regarding the smog for bikes, if they pass such a stupid law, it will only affect bikes from that year and up. As far as passing that law, have you seen what is involved in a smog check? The vehicles are placed on a dyno and run under load to see what the vehicle is putting out. I sure as hell don't want some smog monkey sitting on my bike on a dyno. I just had my all wheel drive jeep almost launched through the smog monkeys shop when he tried to put it on a dyno. I actually yelled at him and told him to turn it off and that it was all wheel drive. In hind sight I should have just sat back and watched the show.I never drive it anyway.
