everywhere i look on this forum someone buys a 1200n and immediatley get black short shots, myself being one of them not realizing everyone else liked them as much as i did. and honestly people here are right about them seeming like they come stock. so i took those god damn heat shields off and wrapped the bitchez, i havent seen them wrapped anywhere. my opinion 100 times better!!! im just mad i didnt do it sooner. One question Darksyde? Why is your headlight pointing up into the trees? You shining for snipers?

 

lol. i know, when i picked it up from paint the idiots told me they adjusted my headlight for me cuz it was off....retards. i havent had it out at night to adjust it, but thanks for the heads up

 

They must be the "me too" pipes for 1200N's like Long Shots are for Softails.

I actually hate the fact that everyone has em but then I look around my home area and I've seen 2 other sporties with em and I've only seen those 2 once each so it really don't bother me too much. I want new pipes but then again I don't know what I want.

 

I actually can't remember seeing any bikes around here (Sportster or otherwise) that have had Short Shots on them besides mine.

 

Like I said I have only seen the two and one was at the dealer and the other was at breakfast one morning but I haven't seen it since. I like short pipes and besides.............. chicks don't know there played out

 

I thought they were stock. I wrapped mine for a couple weeks before I went with the gloss black heat shields.

I completely ditched the Short Shots last week and went with something a little different. Back to chrome pipes and they are not cut off at the pivot.

The headlight looks good, nice choice...

I'm thinkin about a chopped thunderheader or a 2 into one high-side with a bigass cocktail shaker on it, lol. It's gonna be re-donkulously loud and obnoxious. Kinda like me.

 

When I bought my nightster I had them wrap the pipes too. I had them put on the screaming eagles too. Black ones of course. I've seen some short shots that were a black glossy that looked cool, but wrapping them gave it a Mad Max kinda look to it.
