Default My solution to the Battery cover problem

Since it wasstorming this afternoon [:@], decided to install my new battery cover clips and do the zip tie trick. After I got the new clips in, I was pretty impressed on how the new design held the cover as opposed to the old ones. I decided I didn't wanna screw with the integrity of the front one, so I came up with another idea.
Instead of drilling thru the front clip, I decided to drill directly thru the cover in the center right between the airbox and the battery. I fastened thezip tiejust enough that it wouldn't slide off, andit left enough play in the cover to still get it off of the bottom tab if you needed to get to the fuses etc.
Here's some pics, and as you can see in the last,it is still perfectly hidden by the seat.

That's what he did. It gives enough play to lift the cover up if access is needed to what's behind the cover, yet provides a guarantee that he will not lose the cover.

You could put one of those removeable zip ties on it. Would make it easzier to remove when needbe. Looks good.
