I want to clean up the front end of my bike and remove the front turn signals but retain the useage of my rear ones....what do I need to do this and were can I buy it?

I currently run the stock signals on an 01 xl

yes I know it is not as "safe", and I know I maybe in violation of local law....I just want to know how to do it.....

 

Just follow the wires back to the plug under the tank, and unplug them, both of the fronts are plugged together. I had mine off for a long time, no biggie.

when i'm out being the 1% (or less so screw you!) sometimes i gotta run from the man. i'm not going to signal a turn when making my gettaway.

 

Does your state require annjual inspection of bikes? If so, you may not be able to get your inspections sticker without the front turn signals.

Just had mine inspected last week. Turn signals were checked.

 

no inspection in cali.....If I disconnect the fronts wont the backs not flash?

 

No, the backs will be fine, they are seperate. Funny, when I bought mine, the dumbass who had it before me just cut the wires for the front signals to "remove them".

 

There have been a couple of posts about LED ones that wrap around your fork tubes, either in a chrome housing or a flexable LED strip. That way you don't really see them till they are on. I have been thinking about these as I also like the clean front end look but still want the convienence of front signals.

if you follow the wires they unplug, the rear should be fine. doesnt hurt to try at least its not like cutting off a wire, you cant just plug that back in

 

You're going to be a real bad-azz without those front turn signals!
