Nightster Exhaust Baffle Removal

Nightster Exhaust Baffle Removal
I was curious for those who have removed the baffles from their stock pipes if you also got you ECU remapped or just run the bike with out getting it remapped. I am considering removing my baffles but I would rather not take it to the stealer and get it reprogramed if I dont have to. Any thoughts or opinions?
Also, from what I have searched here and read the baffles are pretty simple to remove... just take the mufflers off the bike and put a long punch into the backside of the exhaust and pound it out with a hammer? Anything that I should be concerned about when beating them out? I can't stand how quite my bike is. I can't even here my bike at 35mph with all the wind noise.
Thanks,

RE: Nightster Exhaust Baffle Removal
Hi,
I have been running my 07 Nightster for a year with the baffles removed, no remap etc.. No noticeable problems. It sound much better. There is some popping on deceleration. I wouldn't just bang them out though. I followed these instructions : http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/s...removal&page=2
It took about 30 minutes total.
