Oil change instructions with pictures goes to a search site with paid promotional links. All I wanted to do was see if I was doing right by putting 2w/50 in my 99 HD Sporty 883. :-( The world may never know. ;-)

Primary Chain Adjustment,
Thanks BP, for the information. I adjusted the primary chain with engine running in neutral. Using the visual and audible method described. Improved shifting and overall performance. I appreciate it, now I can focus on the rest of 10,000 mile maintenance checklist. I have to buy a torque wrench.

Several links are completely dead. The oil change section for one. none of them work.

Fork oil replacement with photos, dead.

Can the owner of this thread go through and find new ones? or how can these get updated links?

Yep -- the "tools" link doesn't work.
Can someone send me the ultimate tool survival link -- planning a long trip with the Sportie and want to lug tools.
Thanks.

+1, yep, what he said, I think it's time for a complete over haul. It does seem like this thread was at one time or another this greatest thing since individually wrapped slice cheese.
