+1 on that. \\; I hit mine when I wasn't expecting it and it ain't gentle.
just install a screamin eagle ignition module like i did..it raises the rev limiter up to 7,000 rpms..i used to hit it all the time now i never do,actually i havent hit it at all since i installed it..i thought it was worth the 120 bucks i paid for it..
Yes, I asked this question a few months ago and recived a mixed response. Yes without doubt your bike has a rev limiter. It will feel like a bag of rocks has just unzipped under your rear wheel. There would not be alot of harm experimenting with a couple of times. The best way to get there is get out on an open stretch of road run up to third gear and hold the throttle open... resist your instinct to shift but be prepared to shift. run her up til she hits it you wil know there is no feeling like it \\; then shift ... so simple it feels kinda suckin in a good way
