wow, i never heard of a kit that big. thats pretty sweet!

can the bottom end take it reliably without problems after x number of miles?

i would assume bearings wear faster with the added stress.

the case and evreything was designed to withstand a stage 1 1200cc upper end. the most common mod and most popular configuration.

The problems will be mostly with the build. get a good "wrench" that knows what he's doing then you should be ok.&nbsp\\;You may need some motor mount work but that will be minor.

Cases will need to be bored out.....which means completely stripping the entire engine,&nbsp\\; not too bad if you know what your doing and have the right tools, but could be a nightmare otherwise. &nbsp\\; Beyond that, the most important part will be choosing the right combination of parts....for example, cams, ignition, carb work, the amount of head modification.&nbsp\\; I have a buddy that did the nhrs 90" kit, and it turned out real good, as a matter of fact he just did a 3000 mile road trip the other week, with no problems.&nbsp\\;

I asked the guy that did my 1200 conversion for me because i was considering it also.He told me that it would be around 5000 dollars to do it so i decided 1200 was big enough for me.

Go read about this:

I know this wasn't your question, but you should be able to get the power you want out of a 1200 or 1250, IMHO.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
If you do this, you might as well scrounge up the $$$$ and throw in a BAKER 6 speed while the whole motor is apart.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
My 883 is 1200 converted, and a "74" sounds great to me!

Wow, great stuff.&nbsp\\; Thanks for posting.&nbsp\\; I would be very interested in having that mod but need to find a wrench who I trust and also let me help so that I can learn.
