I have a 2005 XL1200C and I rode it 162 miles and put 2.8 gallons of gas in it.

My light has come on with as little as 112 miles and as much as 153 miles. And it's consistant with the amount of fuel in the 4.5 gal. tank. Depends on how I'm riding. In town or city highway I get around 38-40. Steady 70 on a road trip I get 50 or better. 75-80 cuts it down to 47 or less. Last fillup was 41.

I have a 2006. \\; Ran 174 miles and the bike took 3.4 gallons to fill.

Last tank i GOT 45 mpg. \\; i HAVE 151 MILES ON THIS TANK AND the light just started coming on on curves. \\; 08 1200C.

I only get 38-40 mpg, I don't rag on it too bad most of my driving is fairly conservative. I usually fill up between 100-120 miles.
