I am not looking for more performance. The bike for me has plenty. Just want to upgrade the look and sound for the most part. So the fuel pack (with a little patience) will fit just above the battery. Any special pointers to get it in there?

Mine is located on the side of the battery, left side. Watch the video....http://www.fuelpakfi.com/harley1.html and then download the guide. they help. good luck.

Defintely do the work yourself.&nbsp\\; These bikes are simple as pie to work on.&nbsp\\; I am&nbsp\\;very mechanically deficient and I did my pipes, tuning (PCIII), and other stuff myself.

Fuelmoto will help with tuning if you purchase a PC III from them.&nbsp\\; They even preprogram it for you mods&nbsp\\;before shipping it.

I have a question regarding these pipes, I have been considering them Vance &amp\\; hines short shots for my 2008 nightster, my question is do I need to map or upgrade aircleaner, or can I just install the pipes if I chose and not add other things and have the bike still run fine?&nbsp\\; please spoon feed this answer

Assclown:&nbsp\\; Yes.&nbsp\\; You can add the pipes without anything else and not be hurting your engine.&nbsp\\; You may however hurt your warranty.

I wouldnt say you wont hurt the engine!! If the engine is expelling more exhaust and still sucking in the same amount of air the computer won't know whats going on and the engine will run lean or rich not sure which one but it won't be good for it.

Although your bike may seem to run fine companies make fuel management for a reason. If you change your pipes you SHOULD change to a high flow air cleaner. To button the whole package up you SHOULD get some type of fuel management. Im not going to name off brands because like I said earlier in this thread, I have only tried the fuelpak and quite frankly I wasnt too thrilled in the way it preformed not to mention the horrid task of mounting it in the bike. A buddy of mine used the cobra and I noticed he was getting the same gas milage as my bike and his was an 883 vs my 1200. I would think the 883 would get better milage than my nightster seeing we had the same mods except different fuel management. Everyone has an opinion and unfortunately I dont have many hard facts for you.
