I was just wondering what you XL883C owners are getting on the average miles per gallon with varying city/rural driving? Also, is there anything one could install to monitor fuel levels? Swishing the tank works, but if there is a better way to determine aprroximate fuel levels that \\;would be nice.
No one makes a fuel gauge for a factory sportster tank. \\; You could maybe get one if you installed a fatbob style tank w/2 caps, only other options are a couple fittings and some clear fuel line or custom work that'll involve some fabrication.
Riding solo, \\;somewhat heavy on the throttle I get at least \\;50 mpg consistently. I switch to reserve at 180 miles and I'm getting \\;concerned about running out \\;by 205 miles.
