Default Side mount License plate frame

On a nightster, How do you eliminate the stock side mount horizontal license plate frame to install a vertical one that mounts on the axle? The stock one looks like it is molded in one piece with the side plate for the fender.

I just took off the sliding part and turned my lic plate sideways on the stock one. the plate fits perfect.

Here, you can see the back side in this pic. All you need to do is take the one bolt off the bracket that holds the extender piece on, flip your plate to the side, and screw it on. you will only have 2 bolts holding your plate on.

FYI... My plate rattled a bit lit this so I put a little piece of rubber behind the plate.
