Default New Rush slip-ons in black finally came in!

Until now, I thought the best possible mod I could do to my bike was installing the forward controls (which are awesome, by the way). I was wrong. All I can say is, "Wow." HD should have put black exhaust on the Nightsters in the first place. I think it makes the whole bike. And the sound it's amazing, even though I selected the smallish 1.75" baffles (upon the dealer's recommendation for avoiding drivability problems). They give off a very deep rumble, but they're only really obnoxious when I twist the throttle. Others have said it: "It now sounds like a HD." I can't wait for my wife and babies to take their nap\\; it's an awfully nice day here for a long ride. I hope my legs don't get burned by all of the steam coming off the wet header wrap! [Sorry for the bad pic, the sun was shining in that side of the barn.]

Nice look. How do you like the engine guard? Been thinking about one ahead of a road trip to Colorado.

Thanks, and yes, I like the engine guard a lot more than I thought I would. I actually think it looks good, and it will come in very handy with all of the gravel around here. . . .
