turn signal/brake light issues
Hey yall,
I just added LED brake/turn signals to my 2019 Iron. Theres 2 signals which also function as brake lights. The running lights and turn signals work fine, when I apply the brake, the hazard lights ( i havent installed the front ones yet) begin to flash and continue for some time before returning to the red running lights. All wiring is as instructed by manufacturer, connections are soldered and heat shrinked. Ive tried every wiring thing I can think of from the seat back, does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
The OEM lights were stock, not LED.

Hello, by your OEM lights being stock, not LED, I can assume that the stock lights are incandescent bulbs.
When you add LED lights to an electrical system with bulbs, you will need to add an LED turn signal module, without one the turn signals will hyper flash.
The turn signal module below is available on eBay for $12.00, the item number is 255858569271.

From 2014 the bikes have a BCM that has the capability to learn when LEDs are fitted in the indicators in place of bulbs.
If it were all working properly you turn on the ignition and turn on the indicator 4 way hazards and leave it to flash for 30 seconds and then turn everything off. When you turn on again the indicators should work properly.
Can you show us what you have done?
