Why am I having such a hard time finding out WHERE to BUY new crossover gaskets for my 2008 Nighster? Anyone know? Links? ANYTHING would be appreciated.

What exactly is a crossover gasket, and why wouldn't the dealer carry it?

She's talking about the gaskets for the crossover pipe for the exhaust that is hidden behind the exhaust pipes. Yes, the dealer should carry them, but they should also be available on-line somewhere.

I agree with all that any Dealer should have a basket full of them. I found this part number "65781-82" and that is supposed to fit 1986 and up Sportsters. It is an HD part number and Zanotti had it in stock.
Zanotti <== click click and enter that part number.

The dealer should have them, but you can punch the part number in at Surdyke and find them right away.

Thanks all - our dealer is a little ways away from us and it's sometimes a hassle to get down there. THere IS another one close, although we don't like them much, and every time we see if they have a part, they don't. So I was hoping to do midnight shopping on-line, but I kept seeing things for up to '03 models, and I know lots of parts do not fit '04 and up. SO I will check out the links some of you provided as the first step. THanks again.
