Angry Replacing clutch cable on 2000 sportster

Dumped my bike on a gravel road. As a result, I broke the clutch cable cover. Is this something I can fix myself, or do I need to take it to the harley dealer?? I'm concerned about detaching the cable from the trans. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not that hard, but you should get a service manual to ensure you don't miss something.

Good god almighty, this forum is so flippin lame. Do you people not have a clue about how to fix anything? Most forums post directions, pics, videos and whatever, all in an effort to help out. You guys should just have a forum called, HDManualForum.com. Come on in! But hey, bring a manual! We want to hear from you! But hey! Don't ask us, get a manual!

You see, the power of the Internet is that it's a giant MANUAL.

Start off by posting a pic of the cover. Are you referring to the derby cover, The primary cover, or the boot over the adjustment sleeve? First to get results from anyone be specific and try posting a pic. Busting a attitude will get you no where. I'll gladly help if I can but I damn well am not going to go open my manual to get you torque specs or procedures. Be patient and show some respect or GTFO!
