More info;

"Originally developed for use in aviation, Plexus is quite simply the most efficient product you can buy for cleaning, protecting and polishing clear and colored plastics. Unlike conventional waxes, Plexus cleans as it polishes.
Plexus actually seals the pores of the plastic. It makes small scratches less visible, leaving a surface that's fresh, lustrous, and protected. Plexus dries perfectly, no smears, no scratches, no smudges, and no oily, tacky or sticky residue. It's anti-static, and you can apply it in mere seconds, in one simple step.
For all types of clear and colored plastics; Perspex, Lucite, Lexan, Acrylite, and all other acrylics, (including painted surfaces)."

Comes in a 13 ounce spray container, and yeah, it says not to use 'paper towels'.

I own a patent on a product almost exactly the same as this... star glaze
(derived from IMAGE 10 wax)

So far I've just used a clean, wet 100% cotton hand towel and it works great. The same to dry it with.

Hate to hijack your thread, however, the previous owner had put velcro stickies on the windshield to hold a clock. What's the best thing to use to get the residue off without damaging the windshield? Anyone? I thought about a little WD-40 and just a little elbow grease.

Thanks for all the quick responses and excellent suggestions. I'm going to have to get some Plexus. I had a feeling that Windex wasn't any good for it. Glad I didn't use it. The previous owner must have known how to clean it properly, as their really isn't any dulling or anything on it. Thanks again........Mike

There are a dozen differant plastic cleaners, they all work because they lubricate as they clean.
Just go to your local parts store or Indy and pick one and then follow the instructions.

Honda spray cleaner & polish (the discontinued aerosol). I can clean the whole bike with it...chrome, pipes, engine, paint, seat, windshield. Generally, I just take the bike to the carwash to clean the bike, and use the Honda Cleaner for the windshield. Any motorcycle dealer or parts shop should have Plexus, too. I haven't used it yet, but when I run out of this other stuff and Pledge (I've used that, too), I'll get some Plexus.
