My wife wants her Nightster back to mid controls. After putting on her new 10inch shocks from licks she can now flat foot the ground but she has a longer reach to the forward controls now. She bought the bike used and it came with forward controls. What do I need to change it back to mid controls, just the linkage for the shifter and the brake, right.

 

Yeah that should be all you need is the shorter linkage for both sides.

 

The Mid controls have different mounting brackets. Try are clasifieds or Ebay. or a dealer for take offs. or trade some one. they be comming out ahead as forwards cost $350-$400 dependind on finish. Also Get a HD service Manual for your bike you will see the difference in the Mid and Forwards. Plus what you have to do to change them out. Best book I bought helped me from F--ing up things.

 

I've seen whole sets of black mid-controls, pegs, etc. go cheap on Ebay. A lot of people take them off, put on forwards, and then sell the mids. Looking just now, they seem to have current prices from $0.99 (several days remaining) to $103 (buy it now for a set of 2009 nightster controls). I see a set of chrome mids for buy-it-now of $49 and another set of nightster mids at $25 with no BIN.
