Default Progressive 430 and 412 shocks

Can someone out there tell me if there is a significant difference in the ride between the Progressive 412 and 430 shocks. I know there is about a $300 difference in price and I don't mind paying it if I'm going to get a lot better ride than with the 412. Thanks

They're essentially the same perfprmance wise, one just looks better and has a tool-less adjustment. Same valving, same spring rate. I aksed Justin from Progressive a while back and that was his answer.

I would go with the 440's.

The 412's will cure bottoming out from the stock Harley shocks. Beyond that, it would take a very sensitive azz to tell the difference.

I have the 412's and they work great. Much better ride.

Thanks for all the responses. I think I'll save the money and go with 412 Standards. I weigh 170 and never ride two up.
