Default 100% MSRP trade in on sportsters in Dec!

Yo,
I just got a call from the dealership telling me that they are giving out 100% trade in on sportsters bought in 08 if it goes for the purchase of a Big Twin.

I'm not interested because I love my Nightster, and I don't want to spend more money (even though a NightRod Special would rule...)

Anyways, just thought I would see if this is going on everywhere, and if so, give some people some heads up!!!

I haven't heard if my dealership is doing the same thing. Some dealers are probably getting desperate to make sales in this tough economy and will do anything to get people in.

That's not happening here. I was toying with the idea of trading in last weekend, and I would definitely take a loss on the trade-in. Doesn't really matter, I decided against doing it.

100% of the original purchase price?????

Chit, I got 11K miles on the 08 I bought in April and would do this in a heartbeat. I would trade it in on an 09 Heritage and then turn around a buy another used Sporty with less miles than mine for much less coin than the original price of my 08.

Well I have 28 dealers in Southern Cal to call tomorrow. Checked most of their websites and say nothing.

Mine came to me in an email, I live near three stealers and I'm on all their email lists, but, only one has sent me the offer, so far. Yes it says MSRP for your Sporty on a big twin. Ride safe.
