Nightster to Bobster Update (Custom paint, Modified Staggered Short Shots)
The last Four pics are the actual update, but I just wanted to throw the first ones in like in a timeline.
Although I did buy the right olive pearl harley paint; for many reasons that pissed me off I was forced to play with it a little and just say goodbye original paint.
Ultimately the paint came out more vibrant, still has great pearl, and is super flat, more than the original. Now the camera flash made the paint look a little more vibrant than it actually is.
Also for thoes that pay attention to the pinstripe colors that pertain to different colors, you may notice that my pinstripe on the tank went from a burgandy to a silver (with flake) Came our crazy though, that stipe really pops big time even with the flat clear on (Hot Rod Flatz).
Now the cover on the hypercharger we were just having a little fun with that.
Last to note for now....The covers were painted green as well, and you may notice that they are yet to be sprayed with clear flat (big difference without the clear flat huh?), The covers were in the proccess of being prept for airbrush art work, that i'm sure you guys can figure where this is going.
Ok so I mentioned that I was thinking of drilling out a bunch holes into the exhaust ends, and you guys said "GO FOR IT!". well I trusted everyones judgement on here. Took me a while to make a good pattern on paper, and I kept the holes to a reasonable size. I had gotten the idea from starring at a pic of a 50-cal. Machine Gun. I shot some red on the tips so that it forces a persons eyes to notice the work on the exhaust and I must say it gave it a hot rod kinda look. Plus it was also time we start throwing out more variations of these short shots since almost all of us are getting the same ones. (i'm sure i'm not the first)
The tins arn't ready to be placed on the bike yet, and i'm thinking the seat definately has to come down at least 2". The ride does feel great.
I still can't get over how excellent the fender was fitted on the tire.
