Just 2 bolts to remove, and the gas line. I've never done it on a EFI Sporty, but it should be pretty simple.

You have to purge the tank first... If you have a service manual then start at that point. Basically to purge the tank you have to remove one of the fuses (in the fuse panel, the middle one on the top row... please confirm this for yourself in the manual), start the bike up and run it until it dies... then put that fuse back in. They also suggest taking out the main fuse (the giant green fuse) when you're dealing with unplugging electrical stuff...

Now disconnect the fuel line and electrical connection, take out the front and rear bolts and you're good to go!

Yep, that's it... the fuel line is a quick release fitting too, though on the EFI ya gotta bleed off the any fuel pressurized by the pump before taking the line off.

I don't know about all this purging/bleeding stuff, I just undid the quick connect fuel line (works just like an air chuck) and not a drop did fall, then just disconnect the wire harness plug, take the two bolts out and your done.
I think the others have been reading the safety warnings that the HD lawyers put in the manual too much
