Bought my Iron
Hello, just bought my 2012 Iron 883. I'm loving it. Here in south Brazil there are not many HD motorcicles around, so I feel like a celebrity when I'm riding it. I got it with just 1.500 miles, so the overall state is brand new. The previous owner changed the original muflers for short ones, fliped the mirrors and added a passenger pillion and footpegs, witch was good cause I like to ride with my wife. My first mod was a 3 inches tank lift, really easy to assemble, but I don't know if I'm going to do the usual wire tuck and coil and ignition relocation. I really liked this forum, really helpfull information. Here goes a picture.

I did, but be warned, the Iron vibrates a lot and makes it nearly impossible to see things in the mirrors. I bought some Vibranators and pretty much eliminated that problem. Most folks flip the stock mirrors so they can see behind them and not their own arms.

If you are an inexperienced rider, you might want to consider one of the new Streets because they are lighter and more "nimble". I bought the Iron over the Street due to the "bulk" and overall feel. I'm a relearner after a 30 year break. I got the reduced reach seat and put risers on to get a closer feel.
The Iron can be "custom fit" to your body (reduced reach foot controls and seat, changing out the handlebars, add riser extensions, etc.). Best way to know is to sit on them and see for yourself and ask the "stealer" for fit options.
