Default Fuel Packs??

My buddy rides an 08' Nightster. He's contemplating a Vance and Hines Fuel Pack. So I thought I would ask your opinions. Is he better off to do what he wants to do and have the stealer remap and be done with it or should he spend the money for the fuel pack? And how well does it work? Can you tell a difference when you remap it? Anything you guys can tell me will be great. Thanks.

I have the fuel pak on my 08 Nightster. Its does the job well and is cheaper than the PC III and others. It was fairly easy to install, watching the video on their website helps. I've heard that if you do more upgrades than the basic stage one stuff you will want something different though.

Default Fuelpak

I have one on my nightster and i wish i had gone with a pc, fuel pak is known as a band aid from what i hear, the map they give you is the map you get. I plan on doing injectors, cams, and lifters next winter, 279.00 down the drain for the fuelpak, need a pc for that!

Yes, the V&H Fuelpak is great if you're only doing a Stage1 upgrade. Anything else, and I would definitely go with the Power Commander.

I've got the FuelPak on both my bikes and I'm very happy with it. I'm not planning on doing anything more than the Stage 1 and now I can move it to a new bike for free when the time comes!

Depends on the pipes. Shorter pipes (shortshots) and the FP create a lot of popping and backfiring. V/H doesn't have a solution to this. With a few minor adjustments (not found on the V/H web site) most of it can be eliminated...but not all of it. Installation was a bitch- I don't care what others say. If I was able to figure it out, however, so can you- but it was still a bitch on the NRat. Just not enough room to go were it is supposed to go. I don't know if the PCIII would have been better or not, but there were (and still are) times that I wish I had gone that route.
