Question Modify Stock 2-up Seat to Solo Seat

Anyone ever seen or heard of someone taking their stock 2-up seat and modifying it into a solo seat? I have my stock seat sitting in a box in the basement doing nothing and am thinking about trying to mod it myself into a solo seat.

I've done that, and also made my own seat pan, put in my own foam rubber cushion, and covered it with marine vinyl. Made another seat and pan, covered it using a womans leather coat, cut up of course. Just follow the old rule, measure twice, cut once. And post pics.

Thumbs up Thanks!

I'll see what I can do with it. Seems easy enough to tear it down but I'm trying to figure out how to mold the back of the seat so it looks uniform. Guess I'll have to go buy some foam or something and play with it till it looks right. That and getting the piece that lines up with the hole in the fender lined up should be fun.

Red face Will Do

I started pulling it apart last night. I gotta get some measurements on where to cut it and how to cut it so I can still attach it to the fender using a fender nut kit from HD. If I cut the seat too short I may be SOL. I've already noticed the piece that has the threads to hold the bolts for the rear bracket is recessed into the seat and the shorter location does not have that recessed spot. Shouldn't feel it on my **** through the seat in the new location without it being recessed but you never know. There's very little padding in the stock seat.

I'll keep everyone updated and post pics of the process. Should be fun.
