Default Any reason this mod for the rear turn signals wouldn't work?

After chopping up a flat fender and before I hack off the frame rails... I was at a dilemma of where to put my turn signals. I made some brackets to mount them to the frame rails, but at the last minute, had a different idea. Any reason this wouldn't work out?

Please try and imagine it without the masking tape, obviously it's just there to hold **** in place for mock up purposes.

Seems like there's no issue with seat clearance.

I like that they kind of look like a crab's eyes.

Nah. I don't have welding equipment or know how, yet. A 5/16 bolt will thread right into the signal. Those brackets were intended for placement along the frame rails originally, so I'm probably going to fab up a little bit cleaner of a version since they'll be more exposed.

Well, I took a more top-mounted approach instead of side-mounted and fabbed up some new brackets to be powdercoated later. Don't mind the condition of the light housings themselves, they're going to be replaced. It's all just for mock-up right now. And the left mount is still a little wonky. A quick hammering will straighten it right out tomorrow. I'm just tired and done for the day.
