well, i tried usin an old dummy grenade when i was fabbin up one for myself and they are WAY to heavy.....you would have to hone the hell outta it to make it work and even then i don't know how.

this was my experince with the whole thing. i had a homeade one that i bought from another guy on another forum, i tired like hell to make my own and i just couldn't wrap my head around gettin the clutch to pull when i pushed down (now that i have seen it i got it but then i just couldn't wrap my brain around it). although the setup i bought was really good, there is somethin to be said for a perfectly machiened piece. what i ended up doin was buyin a labrollia foot clutch and havin my own one off shifter. this way i had the reliability and enginering genious of all the mechanical parts but the styling and one off looks of my own shifter.

this is just my experience with it and i'm really happy with my stuff because the only thing ppl look at anyway is the shifter, not the clutch mechanism

here are some really old pics but pics non the less, ALOT has changed

this is cold roled rose buded steel with a glass door **** on top, i recently had it chromed....loooks coool

Genious. This statement should be on a shop wall.

Another shifter idea; the foot clutch is from La Briola.

I always wanted to make one with the neck of a guitar, a welded up ball of chain, or a nos button shifter or something like that.

I'm not even a beer drinker. It's been lingering around the shop for a long time.

My ale of choice is Jager...

Lightbulb shifter ****

Seems like a Hurst T-Handle shifter **** would be the most comfortable and functional.

... nothing 'original' about it, though.
