thanks dude. The rack is steel. Harley claims it's just brazed together but when we sanded down the chrome you can tell that it's actually TIG welded which was a relief.

no problem. haha dont tell them that, they will add $100 on the price tag.
so u jus beefed up the welds and reinforced the bracket tabs? aside from the upholstery, and side plates.
Looks great, are you still able to remove the pad and use it as a luggage rack?
yea if i wanted to I could. It's just bolted on to the frame with four bolts.

Well I just welded in some steel plates to take the pressure off the existing welded joints. It's more like one solid structure now.

No I had new docking hardware machined based on the dimensions of the stock hardware. The new docking hardware is all metal with no plastic sleeve. I'm using grade 8 bolts to bolt them on to the bike.
