Default AMF Inspired Tank Art

What do y'all think about this AMF inspired tank art for my XL1200L with a 4.5 gallon tank? I wanna keep the badge and want some small dents fixed, which means there's an added opportunity to do custom paint.

Your bike and obviously You like it with the AMF tank, so go for it.

Asking here will give both No and Yes.

You will not meet another one at the bike show, and that's a good thing in my book.

I knew I was gonna get this reply! Beauty's in the eye of the beholder, sure.100% But, it's a forum and fun to get varying opinions. Maybe someone out there gets excited to share a 4.5 tank they've seen with something similar. Or someone doing paint for 30 years says it's not gonna work with the lines. I welcome affirmations and oppositions alike. If I was committed, I wouldn't source opinions. But, yeah, I think it could look great.

Personally, I've no aloha for the AMF era products, but I understand how some may wax nostalgic for one reason or another.

Enjoy...

I had that tank on my first new Harley, a blue 1970 sportster. Sorry for such a bad picture.

But... 1970??? I never saw that paint and decals on anything previous to 1974 or 5, Turn signals?? 1973.
and I don't recall AMF moving that fast with "badging", certainly took more than a year!!!!
Nice old Ironhead... But... If that is a Disk in front... It is at Least a 1973, and would need to see the Caliper to see '73 or '74

Same exact bike is in the Harley Museum. Maybe this will give you a better look at it.
