Talking Ecm

Well, Mister UPSBROWN, thank you very much, and thanks for taking your time to do it. It does look a little crowded in there. Do you think the heat from the rear pipe will bother it ? Now I don't know if this makes you a "biker" or a "motorcyclist", But I really don't care which you are, you did a good thing. Hell I don't even know which one I am. Scott never got back to us. Thanks again. Ride safe.

Wow, sure is close to the exhaust. Also looks like the header pipe may need to be taken off to get in there. Is there still a cubby hole under the seat to store something like a PowerCommander?

Your welcome guys. I'm not sure about the cubby. I'm thinking no since they moved the ECM to allow for Harley's new spring seat kit. I took these at the dealer and don't really want to bother with asking them to remove the seat. The dealer is pretty particular with their bikes, as many problem are.

Now all we need is part numbers on that damn little plastic box...

We already have the lid number: 73227-10
Now gotta hunt down the box.

Good luck, I've searched and asked high and low through the 2010 parts catalog/service manuals, etc.

Hmmm... I'm surprised it's not mentioned in the service manual.

I mean what happens if someone with a 2010 needs a new box because theirs cracked or something? How in the hell would HD order one without a part number for it?

When I take my next trip to my local dealer I'm gonna play 20 questions about this ECM disaster.

*When I say disaster, it's only because I wish mine was located like the 2010's and not in the damn rear fender.

um thats going to fail. you can put electronic equipment so close to an exhaust pipe. the capacitors will dry out in that kind of environment. hd engineers must be on crack.
