Default How much did your stage 1 cost?

Seems like almost everyone has done the stage one to their bike. What did everyone get and how much did it cost ya?

What it costs depends on what you choose for your stage . True duals vs. slip-ons, fuel management system vs. factory download, and what you pick for an air cleaner. I wish I could be more specific, but the state 1 is all about what you pick out. I picked Rinehart true duals (which I got for free from the plant manager for them), but they retailed for 1,200 bucks, my air cleaner is the SE Heavy Breather which cost 300.00, and I went with a Power Commander for fuel management which cost me another 300.00 plus whatever you have to pay a mechanic to install it unless you do it yourself.

I went with cycle shack slip-ons, I think they were like 160 bucks, a poor man's screamin eagle air cleaner( basically you take a uni-bit to your stock backplate and add a k@n), K@N was 60 bucks and I got a main and slow jet for about 4 bucks. That's it stage one done. You can also use a uni-bit to drill out your ham-can[IMG][/IMG]

Oh yeah the re-jetting takes a drill to get to the mixture screw if you don't have one.

$130 for the SE Air Cleaner; $200 for slip-ons and $5 for jets + labor.

For FI bikes add $300 for a fuel tuner (several to chose from) plus labor for a dyno tune $100+

Mine only needed the SE Air Cleaner so I spent $130
