While I haven't done the harley, I did redo the entire upholstery of my boat with red and white marine vinyl. It was only a PITA because I had to rebuild the seats before re-covering them. If the need arose, I would not hesitate to do the Sporty seat. FWIW, heat and steam are your friends in any upholstery.

Well the reason that I ask is because I have a Corbin Gunfighter.. which was on the bike before I got it.. and as far as comfort goes.. I feel like im setting on the frame of the bike.. so im thinking of redoing it .. adding some extra padding or softer padding for that matter.. and maybe a gel pad.. I figure with the winters here.. I have about mid of Feb.. before Im going to get back on..

I haven't done my own but I've had it done many times by a friend of mine and I can tell you that cover is glued onto the foam of a Corbin seat and it tears the crap out of the foam to pull it off.

Im about to recover mine. I got a quote of 125 just to recover my stock seat. Nothing fancy just a basic cover.

Yikes
I redid my stock seat on an '08
pull the staples and peel the cover back
there is a thin plastic bag over the foam
so it does not stick to the cover
Did everything from cut some of the old foam
out and added new foam and #8 carpet padding
It is to a point now where I can actually sit on it
and ride for a few hours before the pain sets in
you can get a stock seat for a reasonable price
off of ebay

I may try that.. I really hate to screw up my Corbin.. I like the way it looks but at this point it might as well be made out of steel.. after about 15 min.. im in pain.. and everyone that has ever felt or sat on it that is the first thing they say..
