I have an 883c with stage 1 kit SE etc, was wondering if it was worth my while getting the 1200 conversion done or stick with bike for a few years and buy a 1200 later? Is there much obvious diference?

There is a significant difference. It is cheaper to upgrade yours to a 1200 than it is to buy one. A 1200 typically runs about $2000 more than a like 883. If you are mechanically inclined, you can do the entire upgrade to 1200 for about $750 (including porting the heads).
