Default Burly Slammer Kit on Nightster

Anyone running this setup? I'm wondering if it actually lowers the front end at all since the stock nightster is already a bit lower. If so, would the clearence be unbearable running the mid-mount foot control set up? It seems like the rear are basically Progressive 412's in a 10.5" length. I was going to put 11" inchers on there anyhow, but wanted to replace the fork springs. Thought this kit looked like a viable option. Thanks in advance for the help.

How much lower can you go on a Nightster and still ride it? Mine is at stock height and I have to dodge speed bumps when I ride solo.

The nightster and iron both come with 11inch shocks in the back and Harley lowering springs in the front forks. I think these kits are a waste of money for Nightsters or Irons, as they do not lower the stance of the bike noticeably, and just make the ride even stiffer. The 10.5 shock will ride rougher than a 11 inch and an 11 inch will ride rougher than a 12 inch. This is due to the shorter the shock the lest the travel there can be before the tire rubs the fender. I think that riding with mid controls makes for a better ride with stiffer suspensions. They let you stand up a little easier for the big bumps.

I didnt do my homework, the site says the kit is not for use with the nightster. I think I am just going to put a progressive 412 11" on the back and use the stock length fork replacement springs on the front.

I am running the burly kit on my nightster. Hey...it was DIRT cheap lol. Ride is a little more aggressive, but not bad. Bike gets lowered just a little bit more. For me, I did it because i'm short and stock was fine, but now i can plant my feet more solidly on the ground, so i feel more stable. That was my main point for getting the slammer skit.

I added this kit to my 1200L and the front did not get any lower. The rear did for certain not the front.
