Default Sick Iron

So, I was at one of the local HD dealerships yesterday and was talking with one of the guys there about custom Sportsters. We were talking about how so many Nightster/Irons get decked out the same way. He said that I had to check out the Iron that they were working on in the shop for this rich dude. He took me back into the shop to show me. OMG this is gonna be one sick Iron. It's an '09 with less than 2000 on the clock. They've stripped it down, done the 1200 conversion, installed the aluminum swingarm from an XR. It's got Ohlin's rear gas shocks, Ohlin's inverted forks, marchesini magnesium wheels, full floating rotors with a four piston caliper on the rear and six piston ones on the dual fronts. He handed me the front wheel setup and the thing weighed next to nothing. Right now they're working on fabricating the sportbike-style rearsets. They're going with motocross/super-motard bars. And they're taking the carbon-fiber mufflers off one of the guys Ducatis and going to make a cool exhaust setup with one canister on either side of the bike. The grips and pegs are going to be gold to match the Ohlin's blingery. I can't wait to see it when it's finished.

Would've loved to have gotten pics. But I hadn't planned on seeing what I did. And the only reason he took me back there was because the shop was closed. Plus the thing is still in a lot of pieces. Right now it has the swingarm and forks on the frame and the engine is in it, but everything else is laying off to one side.

As far as buying a Hypermotard, yes, you're right. But the coolness of it is that it isn't something right off a showroom floor. This guy is going all out to have the trickest Iron on the block.

Hopefully I'll be able to get back over to the dealership and get pics. The shop guy is supposed to let me know when it's finished.

No I know, I was just messin around. But yeah, I would love to see some pics of the finished product. I'm looking into getting a motard or a cafe so this should be interesting for me if I can see what it looks like.

Sounds like it's going to be a cool bike for sure, but like was said just buy a motard bike and go from there. I like the Iron's and Nightys all chopped and bobbed out, but that's just me.
