Yeah I agree, just test rode an Iron today...Jeez...what's with that seat...like sitting on metal !!! I'm looking at something like the "Cross Bones" seat, but apparently that just won't fit...so now looking for more practical options (that bolt straight on).

I put a Nightster solo seat on my low. Its comfortable when I first start out but after 1-1 and 1/2 hrs. I get some hot spots.

Just set up an appointment with Mean City Cycles to have the seat redone with their. Gel pad and memory foam option. They have a sale on now..

Will report back when I get it done,

Ironically, it feels Iron....anyone ever try out a HD solo Brawler? Looks good, but is it hard as all heck also?

I'm curious about this too, I can do about 100 miles on my Iron but I am ready to jump off by the end of it!

What is your definition of best? Can't beat the mustang for comfort. Brawler has had many complaints on the XL. I have the sidekick, basically a two up brawler style seat and it's hot garbage, but it looks good sitting there.

Good point--most comfortable but doesn't look as huge as a sofa cushion? Anyone have any experience with the Mustang Solo Tripper?

The mustang vintage solo is not a bad looking seat, see attached pic. Stock seat is in sig pic. If you do any serious riding, you'll continue to spend money on seats until you arrive at a mustang or sundowner type seat. I've got seats hanging on the wall, been there done that. You just won't find a low profile seat that provides all day comfort.
