Default Add-on seat for Iron 883?

Hello! I'm a brand new Harley owner, I just purchased a 2010 Iron 883 and absolutely love it.

I'm going to primarily be riding solo on this, but from time to time, I'm sure my girl will enjoy riding with me. I'd like to not purchase a full seat for 2, instead, I'd like to find one of those "suction cup" seats that I've seen some people have. Then I can just easily throw it on when the girl wants to ride, and take it off when I'm riding solo. Do they make these for the Iron 883? Where is a good place to get them?

Thanks!

I looked into this and saw on one site that the suction cup seats do not work on flat paint. they need a glossy paint job to stick. i'm sure you can find a suction cup somewhere and try it on your fender to be sure tho.

I had an add on seat on my Nightster. They suck. Spend the extra dough on a good two up seat. It only takes about two minutes for me to change mine back and forth. Most of that time is me walking to the tool box for a #3 screw driver. Some of those suction cups seats say no for road use anyway. They imply themselves that the seat is for novelty purposes only.

I agree 100% with SauerKraut on this one. Imagine if the passenger seat came loose while in a turn or when accelerating from a stop. Your precious passenger could suffer serious injury and it would be your fault. I have two seats and SauerKraut is right about this too. In just a minute or two you can change out one seat for another. I usually run with a Corbin gunfighter seat on one of my Sportsters and when I want to or I need to take a passenger along with me I just throw on a more passenger friendly seat and we are off for a good time on two wheels. It’s just my opinion and it’s your bike so do whatever you want to with it. Good luck with your seat issue and ride safe out there!

Thanks for the advice! I guess I will look into a full seat for 2 then. Heading to the dealership as soon as they open this morning to get some prices.

Need to price me some pegs too.
