I know this has been asked before, but after searching I never really found the answers I was looking for.

I have an 02 Sportster (Carb not FI) and I am planning on doing an 883 to 1200 conversion. There are many kits out there that require no machining. What I haven't been able to find is

1) Are they any good? 10:1 Compression is the one I have been looking at but am open to suggestions.
2) Is it hard for a part time wrench jockey to do? Does anyone have instructions they can send me?
3) If I am going to do the conversion is there anything else I should change while in there?
