Did the Screaming Eagle 1200 conversion, after 1000 mile break in period had it Dyno'ed, here are the results:

1200

HP: 79.87
Torque: 78.57

Pretty happy with the results.......

Original Post
Had my 09 Iron Dyno'ed, here are the results.

883

HP: 57.47
Torque: 54.75

Are these numbers typical? Any other results out there?

2009 Iron 883
Stage 1
Vance & Hines Side Shots
Heavy Breather
SE Super Tuner

Thinking of doing the 883 to 1200 conversion, is it worth it? Which kit would you guys suggest (Screaming Eagle or NRHS)?

Can you "feel" a big difference in power with the conversion? I have been thinking about doing the same conversion on my 09. Did they use the Super Tuner to re-tune the bike after the conversion? -Dave.

I had mine done also this winter and kept the same gearing for as the 883. You can feel a much "quicker" pickup but the top end is just about the same. Would I do it again...maybe. I don't like the decreased mpg for my use but that is just my opinion. It IS a bit more fun to drive around in town...

A buddy of mine has a 1200 Nightster with V&H SS, HD Stage 1 air filter kit, and HD SE Racing tuner and his dyno numbers were in the same place, around 80 for each. Congrats on the upgrade, I'm looking at doing the same thing this winter to mine b/c the winter storage is included.

If he doesn't feel a 50% increase in power, there is either something wrong with him or something wrong with the dyno.

Thumbs up 883 to 1200

Big difference in power for sure, I left the stock pulleys on so its pretty quick. Like stated before the only downfall for me is the loss in MPG, but its not all that big of a deal.

Cool. My bike definately needs a little more get up and go. I plan to get the SEPST soon, then have the conversion done next fall. Glad you are enjoying your new mods!
