I have an 883 low and just bought a second seat for my wife, but I am kind of worried about the weight on the bike. Im 210 and my wife is about 135, is that a problem for the bike at all or will it be fine?

 

Harley shows the weight (as shipped from factory) for the 883 Low to be 574 LBS, and a GVWR (maximum allowable loaded weight) of 999 LBS.

As long as the additional weight (rider/rider/gear) is less than 425 LBS you won't exceed the maximum recommended GVWR weight.

 

Be sure that you add a little air to those tires when riding 2 up. Don't worry about the power. It will handle the weight nicely.

 

You're gonna be pushing it. I'm right at 210 myself. When I take my daughter for a ride (she's around 120) the bike is fine. When I take my wife for a ride (she's around 140) totally different. With my daughter, it's fine. With my wife...to me anyway, it's overloaded. Gonna trade for a bigger bike in the Spring. So in the meantime...I'm looking for skinny girls to take on bike rides.....hehe

 

Buy a spanner wrench at your dealer, about $8.00. You can use it to adjust your ear shocks to accomadate the increased weight when riding 2-up.
