Default Solo Spring Seat Mounting Hardware Kit---BEST ONE???

Gents,

I am riding on rigid struts and a 250 wide tire and my back needs a break. So, I am considering the following and need your input.

My options are:

This kit from Debrix cycles. Comes with everything, but the seat. It looks very inclusive and gives me the option to buy a custom seat, not just the one most kits provide and are fairly generic. (Price is $105)

or

This kit from Lick's. Looks like a great kit and I've heard good things, but the lack of a "ecu/wire hide plate" which is included in the others and the generic seat is kind of a bummer. (Price is $285)

or

This kit via eBay from Rich Phillips Cycles. Looks really slick and again would let me pick my own seat. (Price is $180)

Hey TheLaw.. I am looking at the kits from your links... but none seem to cover the ECU hole.. the Rich Phillips Cycles kit that covers the ECU is more expensive:

I'm in the same boat as you...looking for somebodies input. I emailed Rich Phillips about the ECM relocation for a FuelPak but never heard back. I don't like the idea of the "tank bib" used to cover up the fender opening. Guess you would have to refab the fender.

On a side note, Washington Choppers has some nice seats.

Joe and One,

The good news is that I don't need the "fender bib" due to my custom rear fender. What I do need is a way to cover all of the wires under the seat.

It appears that the eBay/Rich Phillips kit is the only one that does!?!

I was going to ask you what kit you had....bike looks killer.

How or what did you use to cover up that damn bundle of wires under the seat?

Joe,

One more question. Is the Lick's kit "permanent" or extremely hard to take on and off?

I ask this b/c my wife rides on the back of mine fairly often (when she knows she will drink too much!) and I need to be able to switch back and forth between the spring kit and my factory 2up seat.

Apparently, the Rich Phillips/eBay kit allows for this.

Lastly Joe.....

How far apart are the mounts for the springs on the bottom of the seat?
