Finally got it all back together after a small exhaust mishap.

That is a very tidy nice looking exhaust. How does it sound, and how is it for performance?

Thanks. It's from DP Customs in Arizona. A couple brothers that build cool bikes.

The sound is nice. Low rumble without any harsh tones.

Performance is hard to say. She's just a stage 1 883 for now. I only put 100 miles on the new stock bike before tearing it down for the conversion.

I may change the pipe though. The front tube can contact the ground. It already did twice. The second touch caused the mounting bracket (behind the belt ttensioner) to break. I had it welded and it seems to be holding up, but I'm planning to get some high pipes.

Picked up a Joker Machine Pulley cover looks great! Also removed all belt covers, and front turn signals. I'm also changing the color my RSD exhaust, I'm coating with Cerakote.

It's British old chap! The single mirror indicates it's ridden on the left (as God intended), but the rear number plate (as we call them) is diagnostic. The tank badge is in the style of a Vincent (made just a few miles from here).

Thumbs up

Here's one made earlier!

Same Italian Borrani wheel rims, truly classic lines.

And that one is owned by a girl... great looking bike! Can't find it now, but there was a write up on it...

Hey guys,
After blowing up my Bonneville Cafe Racer on the way back from Jacks Cafe rockers meeting and being rescued in the rain. I decided I wanted something a bit more modern in the shape of a cafe racer. When this nice ’05 1200cc Sportster came up I decided it would fit the bill. Right away I started dreaming about how it would look and before long I had Steve at Redmax Speedshop cutting the frame down whilst I was sourcing parts. I couldn’t be any happier with how it turned out. The bike is a great ride and always draws a crowd.
Basic specs:
18″ Akront flanged rims with stainless spokes and Avon Roadrider tyres.
Supertrapp stainless 2-1 sports exhaust, with carb jetted to match and set up on Dyno.
Redmax seat, upholstery and Lyta alloy tank finished off with spondon alloy clip-ons from an old race bike.
After hours of searching I found an Aston Martin paint colour I really liked and a friend of mine (Glenn) made the decals with the name, which I chose from my love of dry lake racers and vintage war planes.
Best,
Racy Rach
